Great images of books from around the world and the Web.

This lovely wax book is available from Kiosk, on Spring Street, for twenty-two dollars. You can also buy it on the Web site, which explains that the book is inspired by a tradition practiced in Fátima, Portugal, the site of a major Catholic shrine:

In Fátima…one of the things you can do to save/fix yourself is to toss a wax depiction of your problem in a gigantic oven and say a prayer to the Catholic God. For example, I would toss this book in and hope I could finally get through that book without falling asleep or maybe get around to doing my bookkeeping.

We think it might be able to help aspiring authors in search of book deals.
