Fun for all Book Lovers January 6, 2009 Valento This is the third year I've bought the Book Lover's Calendar, and I now buy it as a gift for every book lover I know. I think the calendar does a good job of recommending a variety of different reads--historical non-fiction, literary fiction, mysteries, romance novels, and coffee table books. The reviews are succinct and informative. And for the green book lover, each calendar page is blank on the back--perfect for phone messages, grocery lists or notes about other great books.
Great Gift for an Author December 24, 2008 Old T.V. Show Buff 0 out of 1 found this review helpful
This item was purchased for an author of two books. He enjoys reading and information on books helps him to decide whether or not to read a certain book. This is the 3rd year that we have given him this gift.
Calendar December 20, 2008 Hilda A. Soares (Virginia) If you love to read or you love books in general this calendar is for you. I loved reading each page with the book recommendations and just all things about books :)
Excellent for booklovers October 30, 2008 E. J. Swenson (St. Paul, MN) 9 out of 9 found this review helpful
This is definitely my favorite boxed calendar. I am a devoted reader, but have only so much time to check out what is new and interesting. And I am not fond of trolling through big box bookstores trying to find something. This calendar has 365 brief reviews of books of all kinds, most of which I have never heard of, and probably would not have considered reading without a recommendation. The reviews are concise, often funny and informative. And it is a plus that I can (and do!) recycle the torn off pages of the calendar for scratch paper.
