Product Description Each Moleskine notebook includes a short history of the legendary Moleskine notebook (printed in English, Italian, French, Spanish, German and Japanese) found inserted inside the back cover of the book. Moleskine (mol-a-skeen'-a) journals are truly legendary, possessing a minimalism, style and quality that literally has centuries of experience. To the initiated, there is no substitute. Moleskine journals - and rest assured, they're not made from the skin of a mole - are the legendary notebooks used by artists and intellectuals who defined 20th century culture, including such luminaries as Hemingway, Van Gogh, and Matisse. Today they are seen absorbing stories on trails and mountains journaling adventures; recording data at engineering sites; at coffee shops soaking up ideas and capturing artistic designs; at hospitals recording procedures, on planes keeping track of what has and is to happen- in all cases being a trusted traveling companion. Moleskine books are printed and bound China and designed and assembled in Italy.

Exactly what I was looking for January 6, 2009 E. hueser (Portland, OR) This is the perfect small sized calendar/planner. It is durable and attractive and comes with some really nice extras to help stay organized. I'll get one again next year!
A nice planner December 29, 2008 RCP (Texas) 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
Tnis is a very nice planner. I give it only four stars because it is a little bulky and heavy if you like to carry your "pocket" planner in a shirt pocket. It won't even fit in some of my shirts' pockets. If you carry it in a purse, backpack, or a "cargo" pants pocket, it is probably a five-star planner. I have a review for the soft-cover (and black) version of this at Moleskine Weekly Notebook 12 Months Soft Black Cover Pocket. Most of what I say about that planner applies to this one. I also discuss this planner as an alternative. My preference is the Day-Timer Compact 2-Page-Per-Week Original Refill - 1 Book (see my review) but for reasons discussed in my reviews for that and for the above I can easily see how someone else might prefer the Moleskine, red or black, to the Day-Timer.
Best planner ever November 25, 2008 A. Bradley (Chicago, IL USA) 8 out of 8 found this review helpful
I love this notebook. It's been my companion for the last year, and I just ordered another. I like the red because it makes it really easy to find. It's the perfect size, really compact and light, while still big enough to be useful. Each week is given one page- plenty of space to write in appointments, while the opposite page is lined. I use the opposite page for making lists of things I've to get done that week, or notes on appointments. There's a pocket at the back that's handy for keeping appointment cards or whatever in. You get fun stickers to mark important dates! If you need a weekly planner, get this one.
