Product Description
Clinton Kelly won't just revamp your wardrobe -- he'll revamp your life! The huddled masses yearn to be fabulous, and finally Clinton Kelly is heeding their call. As co-host of TLC's popular What Not to Wear, he regularly transforms dumpy fashion disasters into traffic-stopping, get-an-instant-promotion, reignite-the-passion-in-that-relationship makeovers. But fabulousness doesn't stop with style. Let's face it: you might look good, but if you're chomping on that crudite with your mouth wide open, nobody at the party will talk to you -- even if you can explain to them what crudite actually is. Of course, the keys to being better than everyone else aren't always so obvious. Don't worry; Clinton's here to help. - How do you make a flat butt look big and a big butt look flat?
- What's the one trick that will slim down your entire silhouette and make your ta-tas look va-va-voom?
- How do you eat an oyster without getting kicked out of the best restaurant in town?
- What's the grammatically correct form of "lay" to use when propositioning a Baldwin brother?
He'll teach you how to look your best, sound your smartest, use the manners your momma taught you, poach an egg, fix a perfect gin and tonic, throw the most popular parties (and top the guest list at other soirees), make your home the envy of your neighbors, and generally be the fabulous person you always knew you could be. From the three style criteria he uses to dress any shape for any occasion, to his eloquent approach to appreciation, to his four must-memorize recipes for whipping up a last-minute meal, Clinton Kelly shares it all in Freakin' Fabulous.

Freakin Fabulous November 30, 2008 Clinton writes very informative with a humorous side. Will refer to this book many times over the years.
Freakin' Fab is Fun Freethink for Clinton November 27, 2008 I was surprised by how much I love this book. I agree with a previous reviewer about the food tips and recipies that were included. I'm looking forward to trying them out on friends. It's a little bit of everything. I'd love to go to a part that Clinton throws.
Fun, Fabulous read!
Modern Day Etiquette November 23, 2008 Such a fun book!
Clinton is great at telling you what is a no-no and how to be fabulous.
Everything is in this book from how to make a great Martini to tuna tartar. Love the Swedish Meatballs story!
There's a great section on what to wear to what. And how to be fashionably late.
The pictures are a scream.
You will be laughing a smiling the whole time and yes, freakin' Fabulous at the end.
Great book.
Great going away to college gift! November 20, 2008 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I won this book as part of a fashion show drawing at Macy's and put it on the nightstand. I didn't think too much about it until I heard my husband chuckling . He started reading sections of the book to me and pretty soon we were both laughing! But, the advice is spot on. This isn't just a book about what to wear. It has sections on food and basic good manners too. These are invaluable things that seem to have been missed by some of our kids (or maybe they are all other people's children). The recipes are nice too; a little sophisticated but workable. I actually tried the Hollandaise Sauce and it was excellent. I think this would make a great gift for a recent graduate headed off to college or her first job. It's too bad there isn't any advice for boys on dressing because then it would work for both genders. j.
Freakin' Fabulous Indeed November 20, 2008 Clinton Kelly is smart and funny, and his voice comes through loud and clear in this book. If you are a fan of "What Not to Wear," you will hear Clinton's voice as you read.
"Freakin' Fabulous" is an easy and entertaining read, and it is full of great tips to help you do just about everything, well, fabulously. Specifically, Clinton takes readers through how to dress, speak, behave, eat, drink, entertain and decorate fabulously.
If the book has one weakness, it is the recipes. I am not really a foie gras kind of girl; however, the spiced sweet potato fries and the mac and cheese look like they would be worth a try.
All sections of the book contain lots of tips with helpful (and often funny) examples that make them easy to remember.
The section on wines includes a helpful chart for pairing wines with foods, as well as "cheat sheets" with information about red and white wines.
On "What Not to Wear," Clinton and Stacy give rules for dressing. Clinton expands the rules to cover every aspect of life, so that you, too, can be freakin' fabulous.
