"Music Legends and Their Animals -2010 Wall Calendar" has been created by "Rational Animals," an animal rights organization, and the Morrison Hotel Gallery, the leading fine art music photography gallery. It features a unique collection of thirteen unusual, original images of celebrated musicians and their animal friends sharing intimate moments. These images would probably sell for quite a bit of money in the gallery. And 100% of the calendar's sales profits will help support Rational Animal's campaigns for animals at risk, including TV spots promoting adoption and spay/neuter, benefit concerts and more. Among the featured performers are Michael Jackson, John Lennon, Billie Holiday, Sting, Eric Clapton and Stephen Stills. The images of the young Michael Jackson, and John Lennon, with kittens, are particularly striking; the images of Stephen Stills and his horse, and Billie Holiday cooking, with her dog, are unusually moving.
We can, I imagine, agree that $25 is a lot of money to spend for a wall calendar, but you can enjoy these pictures when 2010 is long gone. And the money does go for some very good causes. Furthermore, if you have music, or animal lovers in your address book...

I am so thrilled with this calendar, I have one at home and have given one to my boyfriend for his office (just the cover is up now pre-2010), he gets compliments on it all the time. Morrison Hotel Gallery has contributed 12 beautiful prints by world class photographers - I think some of them usually sell for several hundred dollars to art collectors. Even better for me is that the money goes to a non-profit in new york, promoting animal welfare. I'll probably get a few more to give as gifts over the holidays. Highly recommended!
