1 out of 5 stars Recipe for destroying a good song.   November 11, 2009

There's not much to say other than stick to getting just the original version (which is magnificent). The pussycat doll's version is absolutely atrocious and wouldn't even be worth it if it cost a penny.

    5 out of 5 stars Dance-floor & Club Hot!   September 26, 2009

The Pussycat Dolls have made quite a sensation with their dance, fast paced, highly energetic music. This single has 3 fabulous tracks from their album titled, Doll Domination-2009 Edition accompanied by the video Jai Ho! (You Are My Destiny) 3.40. Enjoy a single with dance music along Middle Eastern hints, hip-hop vibes on others and a mesh of club effects on full effect! A sure fire victory of hits masterfully selected with the video to bring much pleasure, entertainment, and positive moods!

"Jai Ho! (You Are My Destiny) [3:43]" is my favorite song of all the tracks on Doll Domination for it's musical sounds, Middle Eastern hints, and Nicole's fabulous vocals. For the curious, "Slumdog Millionaire sweeps eight Oscars at the 81st Academy Awards and Jai Ho!' was choosen as the Best Original Song and A R Rahman and Gulzar won awards for it." [this info is taken from the web]. The music in this song has a fabulous rhythm, pace, and happy aura that reflects in positive uplifting beats with electronica background vocals quite extraordinary! Music and production is by A. R. Rahman and mixed by Peter Mokran; from movie Slumdog Millionaire. This type of music has not been heard of in the world of pop, R&B, or hip-hop. It's exotic, addictive, infectious, and packed with dance beats. There's tribal drums, sensual elements, and much non-stop hooks that are catchy, and full of a desire for more and more. But what's more impacting is the message behind the song, and the way it brings out the beauty of love and destiny as seen in the actual movie Slumdog Millionaire. The music, message, and dance all combine to bring a true masterpiece of styles definitely classic.

"I Hate This Part Dave Aude Remix - Club [8:17]" has echoing swirls, thumping bass-lines, flawless vocals, and a very splashing club vibe in the lines of being on the dance-floor while eyeing someone totally on the mark. The beats escalate the original song considerably making it a very fast up-tempo dance track. There's vast diversity in the musical sound, with elevations that go higher and higher and then burst with the hooks, and Nicole's vocals. There's also repetitive sounds that have echoes and special effects like from outer space. Excellently done remix --totally on the high stakes of making other mixers sweat --Dave Aude knows how to remix!

The "Bottle Pop Moto Blanco Club Mix [6:53]" has the typical beginning entrance club sounds, with pulsating lightning bolt jolts and 80's vibe swirling beats. This is the same mix on the 2-track Bottle Pop that has been sold out. It's phenomenal for it's disco beats, unique conservation of Snoop's rap in one part and Nicole's fabulous singing --at times sounding like Britney and at others not really. Again, the music has smooth transitional effects interchanging with Nicole's singing. This track is unlike the first but a nice compliment to enjoy for it's club ambiance, hip-hop hints, and dance elements that are also dance-floor hot!

The video for "Jai Ho! (You Are My Destiny)" lasts 3:40 and is like nothing I've seen by the Pussycat Dolls. The girls are all dressed very pretty, the choreography and dance routines are excellently done, and the elegance of the overall lay out combined with street styles give it a distinct never before seen visual. Nicole has a beautiful jewel in the center of her forehead that is very stunning [a custom in some Middle Eastern places like India] and her appearance is on top of its game! The production of the video is great as it has many different scenes, dance steps, and places with great amounts of diverse people in the background and much more! I can't wait until they release this on DVD. The movie where this is from is titled, Slumdog Millionaire. It's a touching movie that will enhance your listening of this song provided it's to your enjoyment and I highly recommend it.
