A great companion to Viva La Vida! March 5, 2010 alternarocklover (Columbus, OH USA) I enjoy listening to Viva La Vida, so I had to have the Prospekt's March EP.
Most of the songs here didn't make it onto Viva La Vida. The Osaka Sun Remix of "Lovers in Japan" doesn't sound noticeably different than the original, except for the end of the song. "Lost+" is basically "Lost!" with Jay-Z rapping over the bridge. (It's my least favorite song on the EP). "Life in Technicolor ii" is a longer version of "Life in Technicolor" (the opening track on Viva La Vida) with lyrics.
If you enjoyed Viva La Vida, you'll enjoy this!
ehh January 27, 2010 Nenaptio well, the music was great (listened from youtube) but the fact that i purchased this and amazon would not let me download it because of the fact i have to use their useless music downloader that caused me to not be able to download the music i have bought.I would demand a refund, but i do not feel like spending my time to get back $6.00...
so the music was 4.5 stars
and amazon's music downloader was 0 stars...
Waited too long January 26, 2010 Chelsea B. Mcgilvra 0 out of 1 found this review helpful
I waited over a month to receive this CD. When I received it, it was broken in half. I am not happy with this item.
Prospekt's March - Perfectly seperated from Viva La Vida, yet still somehow fits... September 28, 2009 Nacho (Middletown, PA USA) Prospekt's March, the EP released shortly after Viva La Vida, is an excellent addition to the list of music off of Coldplay's fourth album. Life In Technicolor II, Postcards From Far Away, Glass of Water, Rainy Day, Prospekt's March, and Now My Feet Won't Touch The Ground are the six new songs on this CD. I personally LOVE LiTii (Life in Technicolor ii) and Glass of Water for the faster songs. My favorite slow song is Now My Feet Won't Touch The Ground, although Prospekt's March does come pretty close. Lost+ and Lovers In Japan (Osaka Sun Mix) are the two remixes from Viva La Vida. Lost+ contains a section of Jay-Z doing his thing in the middle of the song (which I personally don't care to listen to, but I suppose if you like it than more power to you...) and Lovers In Japan is nothing more than a ever-so-slightly sped up version of the original with a few extra vocals in the chorus parts.
Final opinion: It's not meant to stand on it's own with only eight tracks, and only five or six of them only really being new... but this CD is an excellent addition to Viva La Vida. It rounds it out nicely with some incredible tracks, which we've come to expect from Coldplay. If anything, this CD makes me anticipate even more what they'll come out with next.
A nice adendum to Viva la Vida September 4, 2009 J. Hubble (Northern California) The songs here come in the same vein as Viva La Vida. The only one I didn't care for was "Lost+". Jay-Z's vocals in the middle just didn't seem to jell with the song. However, now when I listen to the original version, it sounds like it needs something else in there.
