Album Description Fearless is the 2008 sophomore album from Taylor Swift, the young Country singer/songwriter who charmed the hearts and charts of America beginning with her debut single 'Tim McGraw'. Her triple-platinum self-titled debut release has scanned over 3.4 million units and spent more weeks at #1 than any other Country album this year: 24 weeks! Taylor is the only Country female artist to have five Top 10 singles from a debut album and the only Country female vocalist this decade to reach the Top 5 on Billboard's Hot 100 Chart. Needless to say, she's a sensation that has only just begun to show what she is capable of. 13 tracks including the single 'Love Story' and 'Change', first heard during the 2008 Summer Olympics. --This text refers to the Audio CD edition.

Teenage Angst February 8, 2010 Clark Johnson (Huntington, NY United States) 1 out of 2 found this review helpful
As we might have expected, this young woman was singing about the issues of young women. Give her a few years and she might be really stellar.
Fearless - Taylor Swift February 7, 2010 BK (Near the Rocky Mountains) 3 out of 4 found this review helpful
I'm the last person you'd expect to enjoy Taylor Swift's music--I'm a teenage boy, a drummer, and a guy who the majority of the time likes experimental and adventurous pop music (that exists in the realm of indie rock/pop). But, to be honest, I love Taylor Swift. She crafts songs that, to quote Rolling Stone magazine, "sound like they were scientifically engineered in a hit-factory". That being said, this album doesn't feel processed or artificial despite the heavy Auto-Tuning and slick production. I'm gonna say that not every female singer has to be a frickin' diva! This seems to be where all the hatred towards Swift and her music comes from. The reality is, Taylor can sell records and write beautiful songs, and, to me, that's the best thing any artist can do regardless if they are able to sing their songs in-key on stage. Fearless is a great record--one that shows that Swift already has the musical cred to continue what she is doing now, but as long as her lyrics are this poor of quality, she's gonna have a difficult time truly crossing over to most serious music lovers. You may wonder with all these negative comments I've made, I would rate this album poorly, but the fact is is that I find myself singing along to these songs...and, well, that's how good Taylor Swift is. :) She roped me in from the title track and held me all the way through to the final song. Fearless is one ride in what I hope to be an ever more exciting "amusement park" of Swift's future music career. As far as mainstream pop music goes, this is a winner!
4 Stars at its best! February 4, 2010 LaRay Strait (Frostproof,FL USA) 1 out of 2 found this review helpful
I gave this album 4 stars for numerous reasons. First of all, I realize that Taylor Swift wrote or co-wrote all the songs on this album. I feel like this album loses focus of what she is suppose to represent, which is COUNTRY music. I realize country music has changed like all other genres of music, but she should be classified as pop. Second, I felt like her first album was more complete and stuck to the roots of country music more so than this album. Those are really my only complaints. The tunes are very catchy; however I don't think this album is all what it was hyped up to be. I feel there are much better COUNTRY performers out there that don't get as much recognition at Taylor Swift.
Taylor Swift - Fearless February 4, 2010 Amanda J. Friedman (Lancaster, PA USA) 0 out of 2 found this review helpful
After listening to Taylor Swift's most recent CD, Fearless, I have come to the conclusion that she is affecting society in a positive way. The lyrics of her songs are filled with some powerful and important messages. In her song, Fifteen, a warning, and a sad truth, is given to high school freshmen. Just because a boy says, "I love you" does not mean he wants to marry you. Swift encourages her audience to be careful and that if you give yourself away, you will regret it. Along the same lines, in the song, You Belong with Me, she uses a bunch of images and the stage is high school.
I would say that Swift's average fans are teenage girls still in high school. These young girls can relate to the lyrics of the music. However, the situations that Swift paints are common situations that I, a 22 year old can relate to. Everyone has had their heart broken once or twice. I think that Swift is open, honest and down to earth. This is a great characteristic trait to have - it makes Swift that much more real opposed to a celebrity.
I love the fact that she writes her own songs instead of hiring someone else. It would be easier to pass that responsibility off to someone, but she does not. To me, it shows that Swift's heart is in the music. She likes what she does and is not just doing it for the fame and fortune.
I do not like when the music is overpowering the vocalist. I love how there is a blend. I can enjoy the beat and rhythm. At the same time I can enjoy the lyrics without having to strain to hear what is being said. The music is light and catchy. I find myself still humming the melody hours after listening to the song. It is hard to find music in today's society that does not speak of sex nor has any words in it that needs to be bleeped out when played on the radio. I appreciate it and will allow my children to listen to it.
While listening to the CD, I was looking through the album cover. All her pictures are decent modest pictures. She has all her clothes on and nothing is showing. In my personal opinion; this is the way anyone should dress.
When singing, Taylor Swift tends to be a tad nasal, but this reason alone is not a good enough reason for me to stop listening. I think that her acting skills in the music videos are super.
In conclusion, Taylor Swift is an awesome role model for young teenagers. She is modest and clean, does not curse, shows responsibility, has heart for what she does and provides wonderful advice. I love this CD and encourage others to listen to it with an open mind.

I love Taylor Swift! Better than her debut album, in my opinion. February 3, 2010 Emily (Vancouver, BC, Canada) 0 out of 2 found this review helpful
I avoided exposing myself to Taylor Swift's music for a long time (until yesterday) because I thought she would just be another Hilary Duff, Miley Cyrus, etc. (all talentless hacks, in my opinion). But there is something about her music that makes it so different from that generic kind of teeny-bopper music that Hilary Duff used to churn out (she only had 2 good singles, in my opinion, one of which was "Come Clean").
Maybe it is because Taylor's music is influenced by country music, though it couldn't be called country music itself. Taylor Swift's music on this album sounds mature and timeless, and the teenybopper quality is at a minimum, making it appealing to people of all ages. I'm so impressed that she writes some of her own songs, and co-writes others.
Sometimes her voice sounds like Avril Lavigne's and Lily Allen's, but most of the time she sounds like herself. I honestly don't care if she can't sing live - I love this album! She has such a sweet singing voice on this CD.
Every song on this CD is highly listenable, but my favourites are Love Story, The Best Day, Hey Stephen, and You Belong With Me.
- from a 22-year-old reviewer who can't stand Avril Lavigne's music (I cringe when I am forced to hear Avril's "hits", such as Complicated and When You're Gone. Ugh. Over-played rubbish.)
