    Album Description
Cash Money/Universal Motown Records multi-platinum artist Lil Wayne is once again taking control of the airwaves and breaking records in both with "Lollipop," the first single from his highly anticipated album Tha Carter III. This is the biggest add week that a hip-hop artist has received at Rhythm Crossover and the biggest any artist has received at Urban Radio including Beyonce and Mariah.

"Lollipop," is being well received at key radio stations across the country including: New York (Hot 97), Los Angeles (Power), Seattle (93 KUBE), Miami (99 Jamz), Philadelphia (Power 99), Atlanta (Hot 107) and Detroit (Hot 102). Lil Wayne's MySpace page received over a million unique views this week giving him the #1 Top Artist profile on the site. The video is currently in heavy rotation at MTV, MTV2, BET's Rap City and MTV Jams, where it appeared as the Jam Of The Week. The "Lollipop" video is also in medium rotation at MTV Hits and on BET's main playlist. Lil Wayne will also appear on BET's annual Spring Bling and will be only the 2nd artist in the event's history to perform for an entire episode!

Since the release of his last CD, the platinum selling Tha Cater II, Lil Wayne has guest appearances on over 70 songs for other artists including Fat Joe's 2008 Grammy nominated single "Make It Rain," DJ Khaled's "We Taking Over," and Wyclef Jeans' "Sweetest Girl." He also released a duet CD with Bryan "Birdman" Williams titled Like Father, Like Son in 2006 which was a critical and commercial success.

4 out of 5 stars Carter III   January 9, 2010
    S. Hughes (Edmonds, WA USA)
Probably one of the most anticipated rap CDs in recent history. I waited for this to come out for so long and I definitely loved it from the beginning. 3peat is an awesome intro for the CD. There is rarely a dull moment throughout this album and Wayne keeps things interesting. Mr. Carter with Jay-Z is one of my favorite Lil Wayne songs of all time. Two of the best on the same song together. This isn't quite a classic like everyone claimed when it came out but it IS a really solid release from one of the best rappers/artists out today.

Ok its ovbious that Lil' Wayne has talent, however "Tha Carter III" is nothin but bubble gum rap that it plian and simple. He has a few good songs but only 4 at most "A Milli', "Ms. Officer" "Got Money" and "Let The Beat Build"

so here's the deal, the people giving this album 1 star reviews and telling the supporters of wayne to listen to people like 'immortal technique', and 'jedi mind tricks' need to back off yo..if they like wayne lyrics, they will not feel jedi mind tricks stuff. its that simple. its too much of a jump for most people; so take this old school concious rap advice elsewhere because it will probably not make a difference here. now, if u compare him to people like biggie or pac or nas or jay, then ur giving him more credit than he deserves but given his stature, u have to. the kid has skills of word play more than any of his generation, this is an undeniable fact. however he does not utilize it on his albums. he does on other guest appearances and other mix tapes. but sex, drugs, and rnr sells so thats what he talks about on his albums. smart. i cant knock his hustle. there are a couple of moments where he actually talks about something worth listening to but theyre overshadowed by the cluster f@#k of women guns and drugs that is this album. now, from someone who actually likes people like wu tang, roots, nas..etc, i actually like this album but it is not by any means a classic or any of what the hype is making it out to be. its a good party record and with that it serves its purpose so please dont compare it to a politics driven record because that just makes u dumb.

so to make the long story short, if u like wayne, u'll atleast like the album and u should get it. if u dont like him then dont buy it.

This item was given as a gift to a friend, who specifically requested it, and expressed great satisfaction on receiving it. Pricing, delivery and product integrity were all satisfactory. My rating it a 4 out of a possible 5 reflects only the fact that I lack first hand experience with the purchased item, and can only reflect the limited information conveyed to me by its recipient.
