Product Description
Paris Hilton has a lifestyle most girls dream about. Her name is on everyone's lips -- but can she help it if she was born rich and privileged? Now, with a sly sense of humor and a big wink at her media image, Paris lets you in for a sneak peek at the life of a real, live heiress/model/actress/singer/it-girl and tells you how anyone can live a fairy-tale life like hers.
"If you follow your own plans and dreams and you don't let anyone talk you out of them, then you'll start to get the hang of being an heiress....All you need after that is a good handbag, a great pose, and very high heels, and you're on your way. (Long blond hair doesn't hurt, either.)" In her fabulous and very tongue-in-cheek -- and chic -- guide, you'll discover Paris's twenty-three rules for How to Be an Heiress (Never have only one cell phone when you can have many), Paris's list of Twelve Things an Heiress Would Never Do (Go out the night after the Oscars), and Three Things Most People Think Heiresses Shouldn't Do, But I Think They Should (Go out with broke guys). Paris also shares private information such as her memories of growing up with her sister, Nicky, and family photos; her favorite designers and her unique beauty secrets; what a night out with Paris is like; her personal gallery of fashion don'ts; and behind-the-scenes stories from both installments of her hit television series, The Simple Life. Of course no book by Paris would be complete without her pet teacup Chihuahua, Tinkerbell, and in these pages, the best-dressed dog in the world shares pages from her own secret diary. Featuring more than three hundred fabulous color photos of Paris, Confessions of an Heiress is a look at life from the unique perspective of a young woman who has the whole world at her stiletto-clad feet.

My own confession; I actually DO like Paris... May 21, 2009 Amanda (United Kingdom) ... However, I still was disappointed by this book. The reader will not learn anything new about the woman who hides behind the media image. Well, apart from the fact the MAC's Prrr lipglass is her favourite lipgloss. I bought this expecting an actual autobiography (she's still under 30, but there is a lot to talk about), but didn't find it. In all honesty, this book was published to publicise her reality show, music album, perfumes and movie `The House Of Wax' (she actually gives fans a major spoiler by what she says). There are lots of nice pictures and the actual writing that is here is light and fun, so the more attentive fans will enjoy this.
Fantastic and Uplifting April 5, 2009 Georgette Wadsworth Paris Hilton's book is very sweet and cute. It describes her life and details how to live a life that every girl dreams of. Not only is it an autobiography it's an instruction booklet and to be honest, I found some hints very useful. When reading this book I learned to have an open mind about Paris because she is more of a person than I thought before and more people need to understand that. Also, when you read the details coming straight from Paris Hilton, you have to trust her to be truthful and not question of poke fun at all she said. If you can do that than you will have a truly fantastic experience reading this book
all she does is shop and talk about her lifestyle February 18, 2009 E. Mauigoa i originally read this book to get some fashion ideas. i was absolutely appalled my the revealing clothing she war. most of the clothes was not fashionable, it was trashy. i mean come on people who wants to look like a slut? no one is going to like you except maybe the fake people you associate with. paris is just a spoiled rich bitch.
If you like Paris, you'll like this book. February 9, 2009 Charity Dean (Winter Haven, FL.) If you like Paris you'll definitely like this book. It has a lot of pictures of Paris.
The Ultimate Definition of Shallow December 31, 2008 Star Duster (New Zealand) If you are considering buying this book, just don't do it. Hire it from a library and don't give anymore money to fund this sad excuse of a biography. I can't believe I wasted time looking at this book...Paris Hilton makes 'celebrity' look bad and she clearly is a user. You finish the book thinking the same way you went into it...she is a brat, she is a user, she wants to bring other people down and feel superior, she is clueless about the real world and she thinks she is the hottest thing in 'like, forever'! After all, have you ever seen her "without a great-looking boyfriend"(130)? It is all rather pathetic, really. She talks about men as being disposable to her then says she's "always nice to everyone" (80). She gives advice on wearing extra low-waisted jeans (52) and how to 'shop like an heiress'. She also tries to give life advice but fails miserably. Apparently, she likes to "tell everyone what they want to hear then do what [she] wants" (11). She also contradicts herself a lot e.g she says to break up with a guy if he lies or cheats (138) but then says to "deny it" and be a "good liar..." if your boyfriend sees you eyeing up your "backup guys" for when yoi break up with him (140). It's okay for her to do it, apparently. She also says she doesn't understand why anyone would "buy a real fur [coat]" (60) yet she says she wears fur but "mostly they're fake". So she does, infact, still wear real fur. Then she says later on the page that "heiresses don't need to be consistent". To be taken seriously in the REAL world, you do! Her whole life seems to be about "me me me". And she "always read[s] 'Us Weekly'" (173). Evidently, she enjoys seeing those creepy paparazzi photos. She makes other celebrities who try to avoid the paparazzi look bad. I truly feel for people who 'look up' to this woman who is famous for no other reason than money. One thing I'd say is other people in the industry such as Britney did well to get rid of this "Paris-ite" (80) as she puts it out of her life. Paris Hilton=the ultimate definition of shallow and this book does nothing but reinforce that.
