Complete, But Not Always CorrectJune 1, 2009 Kevin R. Austra(Delaware Valley, USA) I bought this book years ago. Since that time this volume has appeared in both a white cover and as a two volume set. My sole encompassing criticism is that most of the songs are in the wrong key. This is something I did not realize way back when at a time when I barely practiced guitar and assumed that the slightly off -- and often times way off -- key was a result of my poor playing or an out of tune guitar. Years and countless practice hours later I realize that the sheet music bound in the book was wrong.
In most cases the chords are only vaguely similar to the Beatles recordings or performances. This is not just the case of barre chords versus traditional chords. In viewing Beatles performances, including many close-ups during Beatles movies, some of the chords in the book are no where close to what is actually being played.
As a beginner book this volume is worth adding to your bookshelf. If you want to do some serious Beatles playing then you should best find another resource.
