Amazon.com After three years of tossing and turning in anticipation of a new Enrique Iglesias disc, fans of the Latin superstar may find themselves losing still more sleep over early reviews that take Insomniac to task for straying too far from the sound that launched him to the loverman stratosphere. No need, though. Despite the presence of Lil' Wayne on the ultra-steamy, street-edged "Push" and some unapologetically catchy pop tunes any male singer, ethnicity aside, could have fun with ("Do You Know," for example, and "Tired of Being Sorry," a Ringside re-tread), white-hot machismo and Latin charm permeate Insomniac reliably. "Little Girl" sends out liquid-eyed outpourings of love to the ladies, "Don't You Forget About Me" delivers a sweet lament over a melting guitar line, and three late Spanish-language tracks--though they're just translations of English versions that preceded them--manage to lift the whole thing into a romantic shangri-la. If it's a peppier shangri-la than normal, chalk it up to No-Doz; Iglesias admits in the liner notes that he, himself, is the insomniac the disc was named for. --Tammy La Gorce

Review September 5, 2009 Sagun K. Tandel (USA) The CD and the box are in very good condition. Was shipped promptly. Worth the price.
Different in a great way April 26, 2009 S. Vargas (FL) I bought this album by chance, and I must say that it was much better than I had expected. Different, enjoyable, I think anyone that is an Enrique fan or maybe not will really enjoy this CD. It has been a long time since I've like all the songs on a CD, at this one has done just that, I love all the songs, really great!
Insomniac-Enrique Iglesias March 7, 2009 Gladys L. Cotton (Lebanon,PA, USA) This is Enrique Iglesias at his best. The mix of this CD is fantastic. In one song he mixes his style with hip-hop, and is amazing. The first 2 songs were uncomfortably sensual for me, but having said that, they are my favorites. I can't explain it. He just sings so well that you lose yourself in the music and your imagination.
Fun Pop Album July 30, 2008 Time Traveler (USA) Insomniac seems to have a slower pace than than his previous efforts, but it all blends together quite well, with tracks oscillating between exuberant dance anthems and softly spoken, well arranged ballads. The album concludes, as per usual, with a series of earlier tracks in Spanish and two remixes.
With this album, I'm always reminded of a commercial for the MTV show Rob and Big, where the two leading men enter a drive-thru car wash where no one can see them and blast the song "Do You Know (The Ping Pong Song)" on maximum volume as they dance in their seats and sing along. Once the machine wash is finished and their car exits the tunnel, they turn to one another and agree to keep it a secret. Yes, I'm going for a point here. While the past few years have seen the American airways turn away from the lighter pop that would have ascended the charts in the 90s, there's little resisting the fact that it's still fun and, frankly, good music.
Ultimately, if you accept it for what it is, fun and undemanding pop, it's actually a quite enjoyable, well produced and well executed album.
Great Album!! 7 good songs. June 30, 2008 D. Music Lover (Oakland , CA) I think this is one of his better albums to date. Songs like : 1. Ring My Bell, 3. Do You Know? (The Ping Pong Song), 4. Somebody's Me, 5. On Top Of You, 6. Tired Of Being Sorry, 8. Wish I Was Your Lover, and 10. Stay Here Tonight, are all great songs, it has a good blend of a great beat, good lyrics and the soulful voice of Enrique that puts these songs among his greatest yet and it rivals his past albums. I would definitely recommend this album to anyone who is a fan of Enrique and a fan of good music in general.
