Amazon.com Here for the Party, this sassy, strong-singing Redneck Woman's 2004 debut, was a giant smash, but All Jacked Up's even better: diverse, rockin', and topped by a sensuous, soulful surprise bonus-track version of Billie Holiday's "Good Morning Heartache." Wilson kick-starts this guitar-and-fiddle-fired CD with the title track--a whiskey-drinkin' sequel to "Redneck"--and the ode to down-home women "California Girls." "Skoal Ring" suggests that the couple that chaws together stays together, and "One Bud Wiser" is a crafty tongue-in-cheek weeper that pays tribute to George Jones in both its lyrics and Wilson's copycat phrasing. Another legend, Merle Haggard, celebrates salt-of-the-earth American virtues with Wilson on the duet "Politically Uncorrect." And "Not Bad for a Bartender" is three and a half minutes of autobiography, detailing the eighth-grade education, floor-sweeping, and saloon-keeping that were all stops on Wilson's unlikely road to success. Funny, fiery, and moving, All Jacked Up proves this 32-year-old's career has plenty of mileage left. --Ted Drozdowski

"All Jacked Up" From 11 Time Award Winner (Grammy,CMA, ACM, AMA, etc) - Grethen Wilson !!!! March 9, 2009 Gary Covington (Louisiana) Overall, this is a great cd by Gretchen, the "original redneck woman". I liked the songs: "All Jacked Up", "California Girls", "Skoal Ring", "One Bud Wiser", "Policially Uncorrect", "Rebel Child", and the bonus track "The Other Side of Me" with Kid Rock. This is a great cd, and I recommend it. Thanks!!!
Who cares about the music???? January 17, 2008 BLONDIE I really don't care about the music here!!!! This chick is just plain HOT!!!!!!!!!!! Besides, have you ever heard sing HEART songs? She can really belt it out. That voice is soooo sexy when she sings Ann Wilson stuff!!!! Hell.....I just like looking at her!!!!!!
gretchen December 3, 2007 T. Dunn (Wisconsin) Bought it for my wife, I guess I did good she really likes it alot, I'm not tooo much of a country fan but I guess I'd say that she rocks.
She doesn't disappoint. August 11, 2007 Diane M. Karlyn 0 out of 1 found this review helpful
I'm a girl that hates cheesy love songs, Gretchen sings good upbeat beer drinking ole boy music a chick like myself can appreciate. Her love songs are sincere and soul full. Love it
Worth Saving From the Dollar Bin May 28, 2007 Robert Szarka (Norwich, CT USA) The title track is a swinging rocker and the hidden track covering Billie Holiday's "Good Morning Heartache" is interesting, even though it pales in comparison to the original. "One Bud Wiser" also has nice old-school groove. The rest of this album is unexceptional country pop, though "California Girls" stands out for its cultural commentary.
