5 out of 5 stars FIVE STARS FOR THE AUDIO PORTION!   August 6, 2006
    The Reverend Terry Rice
I bought this disc from a WAL-MART and it was labeled as a CD/DVD

be warned it's a VCD! and not all DVD players will read and play the disc.. such as PS2 systems.. mine wouldn't accept the disc and neither would my dvd player.

However the AUDIO CD itself is worth the money.. BUT You should go for the DUAL DISC dvd version of this disc.

it has a DVD side with extra footage etc... and the AUDIO (though it's missing the bonus tracks, but let's face it we're a society of music thieves online, you can find the bonus tracks)

I've already reviewed the actual CD "Still Not Getting Any..." so I'll just talk about the bonus tracks/videos.
The live tracks are amazing and so are the videos. Lots of bonus footage. :)
My only complaint is that the VCD quality is not the best. So if you're expecting amazing video quality, you won't find it on this CD.

4 out of 5 stars Simply Punk   September 6, 2005

The punk-rock group from Montreal, did a pretty good job on their album "Still Not Getting Any." Simple Plan is a Canadian punk band who has just started to make it big in the last few years. Their main vocalist is Pierre Bouvier. David Desrosiers and Sebastien LeFebvre are both back-up vocalists. They both have other attributes as well. David is the bass player and Sebastien plays the guitar. Their drummer is Chuck Comeau and the lead guitarist is Jeff Stinco.
"Still Not Getting Any" starts out with a bang. "Shut Up!" is the first track on the CD and it is an up tempo song. It is followed with another up beat song that is good as well called "Welcome To My Life." "Perfect World" is next in line, but is to slow. Following is the song "Thank You," in which they pick up the beat again. They drop down again with the song "Me Against The World," which is just to slow, like "Perfect World." "Crazy" is not as fast paced, but is still good. They come back with another faster song called "Jump." It has a great beat and good lyrics. "Every Time" is another slow song and the last of that type on the CD, thank goodness. The next two songs "Promise" and "One" are ok and that is about all I can say for those. The last song on the album is the best song on the CD. Though it is slow it is different than Simple Plan's other slow songs. The track "Untitled" has great lyrics. The song asks, "how could this happen to me," after he made a mistake, because he doesn't know how, whatever happened, could happen to him.
This is a good CD, but has a few bad slow songs, which hurt them on this album. Without the slow songs it would have been an excellent CD. I did like it, for the most part, so I'm still going to give it a rating of four stars.

2 out of 5 stars Emo at its best............   July 14, 2005

In case you were thinking, I'm being sarcastic. This is the top of being emo, these guys do not rock and they are more pop than punk, and their song and lyrics are "what" and "huh?".
