Live in Buffalo chronicles The Goo Goo Dolls' hometown concert on Independence Day, 2004. Famously a torrential downpour descended upon Buffalo, and the group played the final third of the concert - which featured the big hits 'Iris' and 'Give A Little Bit' among other Goo Goo anthems - totally drenched. Features this incredible show in both sight (DVD) and sound (CD) formats. WEA.

I could write a novel here, but the reality is this. The Goo Goo Dolls truly love what they do and their fans. The rain is literally pouring all over the band and the crowd and they keep playing for them. You can hear the true talent John Rzeznik and Robby Takac have when the rest of the group leaves the stage from the rain and they stay there playing because the crowd waited all day for them. There is no lip-synching....they play their own instruments and are good at it. I truly love this group because their music speaks to me, and they love what they do. If you are waivering on whether to purchase this, go for it. I am sorry I waited so long to get it! You won't be disappointed.

I thought the Goo Goo Dolls were basically a pop band, how wrong I was, they are a great rock band. One of the best and most under-rated live acts of the decade. The interaction with the home fans, performing versus the rain, being there in person had to be memorable. The union between the band and fans during IRIS is truly moving, a great moment captured on film.

The Goo Goo Dolls are consistantly pleasing in so many ways- they are original, creative musicians who always deliver great performances. After finally "discovering" this cd and dvd set, I was impressed and touched by how the guys continued to perform in pouring rain for their loyal fans in Buffalo,their hometown. The rain didn't effect the quality of the music in any way. In fact,as in a great film with a surprising twist, the show got even better as everything and everyone got drenched.
