| Editorial Reviews:
Amazon.com In collaborating on Miracle, Celine Dion and her partner in baby love Anne Geddes carefully sidestepped the L-word--a smart move, considering that the songs captured here, despite their electric-blanket warmth, aren't always lullaby-like in their delivery. Though the collaboration is about babies--the liner notes to this CD provide a sneak peek at Geddes' visual wizardry available in both the expanded box set and book--Miracle is not necessarily for them. Which works out great for Celine fans who have made contact with their maternal sides. More than anything, the disc plays as a valentine to new mothers: "Le Loup, La Biche et le Chevalier (Une Chanson Douce)," "The First Time Ever I Saw Your Face," and John Lennon's "Beautiful Boy" get the trademark melt-away vocal treatment, causing the need to keep a box of tissues at the ready. While tenderness flows from each track as consistently as formula from a baby bottle, though, the chanteuse doesn't shy away from the passion and note-pounding that are also her trademarks. Thus, the miracle of Miracle lies not in its ability to soothe the tiny creatures it swollen-heartedly celebrates, but in its ability to set the sentiments of listeners who love them to song. --Tammy La Gorce

a perfect white elephant shower gift January 31, 2010 C. Little This is so bizarre. I first discovered it in the waiting room of my hospital's maternity floor. I have to say it made me chuckle, even while in labor. I don't know who buys this for real, but it makes a great gag gift. There are the typical Anne Geddes flower babies, but this time a "reflective" and CREEPY Celine Dion is mixed in. The most alarming visuals are where the babies are crammed in to pantyhose and suspended above the singer. Other costuming includes dressing the babies and Celine up in matching vegetable attire. I have no idea why Celine is posing like this with other people's babies, but it is entertaining. We got a great laugh out of the babies coming out flowers that look very much like female genitalia, and an even bigger laugh out of Celine's facial expressions and poses. I've questioned her taste before, and this reaffirmed my suspicions about her having none. I'd definitely recommend it for a "white elephant" shower gift, I can't imagine wanting it under any other circumstances.
I love it! December 31, 2009 D. Rodrigues It is a great CD, the musics are so beautiful! I love all the musics and so does my baby, it makes him very peaceful and even helps him to get some sleep.
Beautiful music December 13, 2009 K. Meier (San Francisco, CA) I think Celine did an excellent job on this album. It's an album that I've played for my newborn son and it calms him down and sometimes, he'll go right to sleep. I would definitely recommend this album to mommies to play for their children and eventually pass down to them when they're old enough. This album is a keepsake. Beautiful boy is a great song. Miracle, If I could and Brahms Lullaby are some other favorites. But honestly, all the songs on this album are nice and easy listening. Anne Geddes and Celine Dion should be commended for their work on Miracle.
Love It! October 15, 2009 J. Moore (Temecula, CA) Both myself and my children love this CD. Songs are very soft and soothing. My son listened to it every night from 19 months (when it first came out) to 3 1/2 years old, my daughter loved it as well. Now we are getting it for our newest member!
A wonderful gift for every Mommy to be August 23, 2009 Joanna Ramseur (Germany) I heard about this CD from Nancy O'Dell's book, and she was soo right!
Every song on the album is beautiful & moved me to tears a lot of times!
It's definately a must have. I've been listening to it while still pregnant, and will play it to our baby once he is there...
