a strong debut !!! April 20, 2009 Bless Hicks (Raleigh,NC) Rachel has always been my favorite from S Club. [next to the scrumptious Paul Cattermole of course ;-)] so when I first heard of this CD I was so happy we all heard how she gave it to us on "Natural" so it was "natural" that I'd get this record [corny, I know - lol] but i really like this CD the songs are so fun yet so mature I can't really decide which songs I like more but I'll try.
Sweet Dreams my LA ex
Funky Dory
Breathe in,Breathe out
Glide
Heaven Has to Wait [a pretty ballad I love it]
More,More,More [a great cover. I love how it even samples Len's "Stal My Sunshine" in the bridge]
Little Secret
Silk [my favorite track of the CD I love the electronica infused orchestral sound]
I don't really like any version of "Some Girls" to me it is filler and I can't believe it was a single but the rest of the album makes of for that, anywhoo, buy it !! you'll like it !!

End thoughts: Quite possibly the best new pop solo artist this decade. Rachel Stevens has quickly advanced in my rankings to score nearly higher marks than any other artist, to my surprise! Amazing debut album reissued, guess I can safely say I'm a fan now.
Why Hasn't She Made it in the USA? April 8, 2008 Michael J. Morgan (Malvern, PA USA) I haven't liked a whole album this much since Liz Phair's WhipSmart. If you need to catagorize her, she's kind-of a mix between Sheryl Crow and Cathy Dennis. Inexplicably, I've yet to hear any of her stuff on any local radio station. If it wasn't for Pandora, I would have never heard or Rachel Stevens at all.
Funky and Sexy December 14, 2007 J Seal (Boston) It's a great album. I like every single song in this CD. Can't wait for her next album.
Big change from S Club to Funky Dory!! July 18, 2006 Carlos (My home, Chile) Rachel Stevens was certainly like the typical Beverly Hills girl when she was part of S Club 7, but now she released her solo albums, this is my very favorite of all! She has such a nice voice, and her songs are amazing, she sings very good, and thank God now we can really appreciate her great and sweet voice, the one we only heard in one S Club song ("I Really Miss You"). She came back all grown up and better than ever!
"Funky Dory" is a very cool album with techno, a little rock, a little R&B and of couse pop music, and teh result is an excellent album that, for me, deserves at least one award.
Now, "Funky Dory" is one of my very favorite songs and albums of all time, and it's a real shame it wasn't released in the whole world, but in the UK only :( , she would have been great...
Now I can't wait for her next album to be on sale :D ...
Go and buy this album, you won¡t be dissapointed at all.
