Victoria Beckham CD November 14, 2009 R. Bryant I bought it because I love one of the songs but the whole album is great. If it came out now I think it would be a big hit.
Makes me wonder April 17, 2009 Courtenay Gilford (Washington, D.C.) Why a Spice Girls would put out an R&B influenced album, but it does work and it sounds absolutely wonderful, the album are wonderfuly produced and Victoria Beckham comes off a totally new artist separate of her Posh Spice persona. My Favorite track is Midnight Fantasy, Not Such An Innocent Girl, Watcha Talkin About (I also loved the version with Missy Elliot) Girlfriend, and Mind of its Own. It truely makes me wonder what could have been of Mrs. Beckham's music career if her second album had been released.
VERY GOOD CD March 31, 2009 Dionne Davenport 0 out of 1 found this review helpful
THIS CD IS VERY GOOD I LOOK UP 2 POSH SPICE I SAY SHE IS A ROLE MODEL FOR ANYONE I LOVE EMMA BUNTON AND MEL B AND GER I HALLIWELL MEL C'S SOLO ALUBMS FOR NOT SO GOOD BUT OKAY I LOVE THIS CD IT IS VERY GOOD A GREAT BUY FOR ANY POSH SPICE FAN
Best album from all the solo Spice Girls! March 4, 2008 Eric Smith (Pittsburgh, PA) Victoria Beckham/Posh Spice was always my favorite member of the Spice Girls. I also thought she was the most attractive out of all of them too! Well it just so happens that her solo debut album is the best solo debut out of all the Spice Girls! I like every song, especially "Not Such An Innocent Girl" and "A Mind of It's Own", both hits in England. The songs on this album are well written and she sounds great! I don't know why a lot of people say she can't sing, I think she has a good voice. I think she deserved more solos when she was with the Spice Girls. So anyway if you're a Spice Girls fan or like Posh you'll like this album like I did. It's definately worth the price!
I Was Surprised...But I Actually Enjoyed This Album March 3, 2008 Dezire (long island, ny) I first came across Victoria's solo work thru Youtube and I decided to check out some of her tracks. Let me just say that, whoever thought that Victoria couldn't sing and was just the girl in the Spice Girls' that wore short dresses is seriously mistaken. This girl actually has talent and gave a decent vocal range and songs that females could relate to.
Her first two singles "Not Such An Innocent Girl" and "A Mind of Its Own" are very poppy songs with good videos to accompany them. Then there "Like That " where Victoria is telling women not to accept & make excuses for behavior from their no- good men. "I.O.U." is dedicated to David of her professing her love to him. "Girlfriend" is involving Victoria meeting a guy at the club and his woman finding her number in his pocket & telling her to back off of her & handle her man. "Every Part of Me" is dedicated to her son, Brooklyn and how much is existence has changed her for the better. " Whatchu Talkin Bout" is clearly about Geri leaving the group and you finally get to hear how she really felt about her.
While there are many good tracks on the album, there are a few that could've been left off the album like the bland "Unconditional Love" and "No, Trix, No Games" otherwise everything is satisfactory or better.
Spice Girls fans wouldn't be disappointed and pop fans could appreciate it also. And if you get a hold of her other two unreleased albums "OPen YOur Eyes" and "Come Together" you wouldn't be disappointed.
p.s. You can find her second unreleased album "Open Your Eyes" on [...]
