    Editorial Reviews:

    Album Description
2001 debut for 16-year-old pop phenomenon who's becoming something of a national obsession in France due to her overtly 'Lolita'marketing. 10 tracks including 'Moi...Lolita', 'Lui Ou Toi; & 'Abracadabra'.

    Album Details
Alizee is currently very popular in Europe. She was discovered by Mylene Farmer and her producer Laurent Boutonnat who collaborated on this album. Alizee has just finished touring France and Europe as the opening act for Mylene Farmers' highly succesfull 'Mylenium Tour'. This album will most certainly prove that she is more than a one hit wonder.

End thoughts: For a first album, not to bad. There are quite a few songs, that just absolutely do not work. Typically I jump around on this CD and cannot listen to it throughout. Starts of really good with 3 ace tracks but then falls of, recoups some points towards the end luckly otherwise this would be a B effort.

5 out of 5 stars Incredible Artist   November 22, 2008
    J. Parker (USA)
I found Alizee by chance on the Internet one day and was astonished by the quality of her voice. Of course I had to hear more so I bought an album. Well... that caused me to buy all of her albums including a DVD of her in concert. Alizee En Concert, which I must say is my all time favorite. I don't speak a word of French but her voice and vocal range is absolutely incredible! Language wasn't an issue. Don't merely take my word for it, there are plenty of sites online where you can listen to samples of her music. Even her own official site. You might want to remember that listening on your stereo will be even better. In any case once you hear her, you will be hooked too and end up buying every album.

5 out of 5 stars fav french artist   February 23, 2008
    R. Shiraishi (Portland, OR USA)
This was one of my favorite albums for a long time discovered it on the internet and decided that I liked it. Used to listen to it all the time. I purchased this CD years ago and I am not finnaly writting a review. This is the only french artist that I listen too. So that makes her my favorite lol.

    5 out of 5 stars ALEZEE   December 25, 2007
    PAUL RANDALL
ANOTHER GOOD ALBUM FROM ALEZEE. YOU CAN HEAR HER GETTING OLDER AND BETTER WITH EACH NEW SONG. WE HAVE A GREAT SINGER HERE THAT I HOPE WE WILL HAVE FOR A LONG TIME.

5 out of 5 stars Can't beat this...I mean sine qua none   December 2, 2007
    Peace101 (somewhere in USA)
As an American, I started liking French (people/music) because of this recording. The intonation...my frineds...the intonation are so perfect, that you could actually learn French by listening to this CD. And that is the greatest virtue that any artist can have...is to have the audience actually sing in French...

This potpourri of songs don't mean a thing in English, but they are catchy tunes, sexy, sultry voice is just amazing. Now the voice from a teenager is even more mesmerizing than one can think, of course unless highly digitally modified...but no it is true sound.

I like all, with first preference to Lo..li..ta.., Lui ou toi, and title song Gourmandises. (try this link [tuxicodine dot net /archives/130])
