Amazon.com You go, girl! Riding on the coattails of the Latin explosion, teen sensation Christina Aguilera decided to tap into her Ecuadorian roots (on her father's side) and brush up on her Spanish. With her newfound tongue, she translates five tracks of her multiplatinum self-titled debut. "Genie in a Bottle" becomes "Genie Atrapado," "Come On Over" becomes "Ven Conmigo," and her other major hits get code-switched and granted the added value of Spanish guitar and dizzied-up Latin disco beats. Fans, especially those who understand the language, should rush to pick up this album. In the year since Aguilera released her self-titled debut, she's honed her chops and figured out what kind of artist she wants to be: namely, an R&B heavy-hitter, not a pop princess. To prove her staying power and worth, she does serious vocal acrobatics with so much confidence and clarity on Mi Reflejo, you'll forget that five of these songs are old, that all are translated into a language other than her native tongue, and that she's a modest 19 years old. --Heidi Sherman
Album Description Christina's 2000 release with 4 bonus remixes, 'Falsas Esperanzas' (Dance Radio Mix), 'Falsas Esperanzas' (Tropical Mix), 'Pero Me Acuerdo De Ti' (remix) & 'Ven Conmigo Solamente Tu (Karaoke Version).

My wife says is good September 27, 2009 Kevin Nazario Bartolomei (Ponce, Puerto Rico) Ok, i got this one for my wife, she says is really good, I am not going to argue with her.
Love it August 29, 2009 Phyllis Martin (Jasper, TX. USA) I really enjoy listening to the album. Her vocals are amazing on the ballads. She's having a good time on the mid-tempo tracks. I thought she mispronounced a few words in one of the songs cause she was singing fast. I guess i couldn't keep up with her. I hope she records another spanish album in the future.
My first Aguilera May 17, 2009 Robert S. Ross I do not buy Christina Aguilera CDs, but made an exception because I so enjoy Latin music and this entire album is in Spanish. I loved it. While Aguilera is much too given to vocal gymnastics in either language, I find it less annoying when she sings in Spanish. There is no denying the quality of her voice. The selections range from slow and evocative to lively, with all of them sharing excellent arrangements and very professional instrumentation. I would highly recommend this album to anyone whether they understand the words or not.
christina's last good album August 12, 2008 Robbie rob 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
i absolutly loved christina's debut cd, every song on it was good and hearing her sing in spanish on this album was so beautiful. Unfortuntly after this in my opinon christina has went downhill, i absolutly did not like her stripped album, she completly lost her passion in music, stripped was all about sex and complaining about men treating women like objects, well christina if you were smart enough you would know that you don't need to dress and act like a skank in your dirty video to be beautiful as you say in your song, it just completely gives young girls a bad message.
her back to basics album was a slight step forward but still i didn't find anything that grabbed me in that cd like most mainstream music these days, christina please show your fans the passion that you had in your music, most young female singers have seriously lost that part in music in my opinon.
Mi Reflejo February 7, 2008 Denise Jones (pittsburgh) Mi Reflejo rocks. I am a Spanish student and I listen to music en español all the time. I love this album. Despite the fact that Christina does not know the language, she has managed to record an album that sounds as if she does. Way to go,Christina. This is a great album! I particularly like Ven Conmigo and Me Acuerdo de Ti.
