Product Description Now available in MP3 format, this "Audio On the Go CD" contains all of the audio featured in the second edition DVDs for "Al-Kitaab Part Two". While the audio on this CD is not new or different from the audio featured on the DVDs bound in to each book, the MP3 format allows for easy portability. Files can be transferred to an MP3 device, played on a computer, or played on some home or portable CD players. These easy-to-use audio files are ideal for: students who want extra practice, teachers who want to play the audio in class, and language labs. Language labs that purchase a copy of any "Audio On the Go CD" will automatically receive rights to - post an electronic copy of the MP3 files on a secure (password-protected) network for use by current students and faculty at their institution; and loan the number of purchased copies to students.

| Customer Reviews: Very Useful November 27, 2009 M. S. This CD version of the al-Kitaab DVD has proven to be extremely useful. I put these audio tracks on my iPod and it has allowed me to do listening exercises when I don't have access to my computer--on campus, on the bus, etc. I've also had a much easier time learning the vocabulary because I can listen to the example sentences wherever I happen to be, especially when I'm at the gym!
No English translations September 9, 2009 KJM 3 out of 9 found this review helpful
I bought this audio CD because the DVDs that come with the book do not play on a CD player. I intended to listen to the CD in my car during long commutes and expected to hear Arabic with English translations. The problem is NOTHING IS IN ENGLISH except a chapter on Sufism.
Also, because these are MP3 files on disc, they will not play on a regular CD player, like the one I have at home that's 10+ years old.
This CD is worthless to me and a waste of money. It's only somewhat good if you have the book in front of you -- but that doesn't work if you're driving or working around the house or jogging, etc.
Why didn't the authors think of this???
