5 out of 5 stars Great book   May 10, 2004
I agree totally with Donny Stack. I do give 5 stars however for the transcription work of Jeff Jacobson and Steve Gorenberg as it's very accurate in 99% of the book. Where were these guys when "Animosity" got published??? (See my Animosity review as well).

Well, this is a Cherry Lane book, and for the most part, you're going to get quality when you get a Cherry Lane or Hal Leonard book. Warner Bros. books... well, I just don't think they hold their transcriptions to high enough standards over there.

My only complaint in this book is the song "Feel So." The intro is very inaccurate. In the transcribers' defense, the guitar is extremely wet with effects for it, so it's very hard to transcribe. My only wonder is that I heard somewhere that Clint and John (guitarists for Sevendust) approved this book as accurate??? Either it's not true, or they just didn't bother looking through the whole book! In either case, I've seen Clint demonstrate the intro to Feel So, and it's unfortunately not what's in the book.

Anyway, one intro of one song is not enough to get docked a star, in my opinion. So 5 stars it is for this book!!

4 out of 5 stars Sevendust- Home   November 8, 2003
Donny Stack (New York-- not NYC)
It's your standard guitar book. Everything's there, everything's playable. But man does Sevendust have some intricate guitar work.
