    The Guide for Ushers and Greeters is one in a series of handbooks for the formation of liturgical ministers. Rev. Paul Turner provides the theological and liturgical aspect of each ministry and then the practical considerations for training is provided by someone in active parish ministry.

    Is it presumptious to review a book I co-authored? I suppose, but as a minister in a Catholic parish, I find the whole series to be an effective tool in the process of training volunteers while encouraging their spiritual growth through the practice of their ministry. This particular volume is useful to a parish that is looking to become more welcoming to visitors and more caring and hospitable to all their parishioners.
