For most of the book it was exactly what you expected it to be - explicit and sexy with passable dialogue and a story that hit all the hot buttons of the fetish. Maybe not dramatically better than any number of similar stories you can find on the Internet but certainly entertaining enough for the Kindle price of under $5.
The whole point of feel good fluff novels (and don't kid yourself, this is a fluff novel) is that the ending / resolution is supposed to be cheerful. I don't think its asking that much right?
Wrong, apparently.
At the end of this novel every single one of the main characters is in a situation ehere they are or are about to be emotionally destroyed and potentially legally so. There is Catholic guilt by the bucketful and since few of these characters is drawn deeply enough to handle adversity the nuclear bomb that gets dropped on them at the end makes turns the whole book into a horror novel, not a bit of porn fluff.
(spoilers here down)
The problem isn't the actual circumstances, which were heavily telegraphed. With the amount of incest already happening finding out that there has been more incest than the characters thought is not a problem - and pretty hot. It is with the characters reaction to the revelation. Some of them were barely avoiding some sort of weird depressive / guilt ridden lifetime of therapy as it was... in the last page of the novel we are shown one of them going over that edge.
If the author felt compelled to toss in the Sixth Sense style ending that's fine, but we could have ended just as easily with the characters laughing and finding it in their words "yummy"... it really would have made the book better.

Selena wowed me with this book! It is tantalizing, erotic, lets us imagine everything we've always hoped for. Bring the catholic school girl fantasy to life with a very unnerving and excitingly veiled ending, I couldn't put this book down, even my fiance let me read parts to him, sexually stimulating for both of us. Plus a greatly plotted story line which not a lot of smut books have. Bless me father for I have sinned.

The plotline makes this much more than a teenage-coming-of-age story, more than a teen f/f story, or child-initiated incest tale--it's all of these, at once smoothly joined. It managed to push all my favorite kink buttons simultaneously, and skillfully.

Selena Kitt writes very hot romantic novels. She understands how to build erotic tension using guilt and seduction and she makes her characters immerse themselves in their surroundings. "Under Mr. Nolan's Bed" is a fine example.
