    Disciples of the Dragon

During Bruce Lee's short and climatic life, he touched the hearts of many people. Besides his fans, who span across the globe, he left behind many students who are thankful for meeting the martial arts legend whom we have come to know as, "The Little Dragon". In Disciples of the Dragon, Paul Bax has sought out and interviewed Lee's most famous and obscure students for this ground breaking book. With a foreword by Lee's student Leo Fong and countless interviews with Lee's original students, Disciples of the Dragon is an interesting and thought provoking book on the life and legend of Bruce Lee.

5 out of 5 stars Good book   February 8, 2009

This book is great. Helps preserve Bruce lees legacy and give enough info. about the man and his number one passion. I suppose people like Dan Inosanto are not easy to get an interview with. That goes for Mike stone as well (wonder why) and Chuck Norris. all in all a great book and highly recommended.

5 out of 5 stars Must Have for Bruce Lee/JKD Enthusiasts!   February 6, 2009

This book is a great source of information for those interested in Bruce Lee and his arts of Jun Fan Gung Fu and Jeet Kune Do! There is hours and hours of great reading here, and after reading the book, you will know much more about Bruce Lee the man, the teacher and the martial artist! The interviews are in-depth, and the right questions are asked! If you want to know more about Bruce Lee and those who trained with him, you will definitely enjoy this book! Don't just get it ... GET IT NOW!!!!

5 out of 5 stars A very well written resource on Bruce Lee's students   February 4, 2009
    Sean Madigan (America)
I really enjoyed this book. Paul Bax took that extra step and conducted interviews with some of the lesser known students of Bruce Lee and that leads to an insight into what he taught and how it was received by the many rather than counting on the insight of one. I honestly feel that no one person has it all, and that if your passion is to learn everything you can about Bruce Lee and his art of Jeet Kune Do, then you owe it to yourself to read this book.

To the reviewer that was upset that Guro Dan Inosanto is not in the book...I understand your concerns, but I feel that Guro Dan would be the first one to tell you that you should seek out all of the pieces of the JKD puzzle.

This is my honest opinion about this book, and trust me, I don't even like Paul Bax.

'Disciples of the Dragon' is an invaluable source of information about Bruce Lee, as told by those who knew him as a teacher, friend and human being. Highly recommended!

This book is well written with much insight into Bruce Lee and his art of Jeet Kune Do, from students and friends who interacted with him. Paul Bax does a great job interviewing each person and allows the reader to learn a different perspective of Bruce Lee the teacher and the friend.

What is unique about this book is that it goes beyond the common or redundant interviews seen in many magazines. The reader will enjoy discovering different anecdotes of Bruce Lee's life.

I highly recommend this book to anyone interested in Bruce Lee or his martial arts training.
