| Customer Reviews: Very very basic versions, nothing like original November 10, 2006 J. Rogers (Melbourne, Australia) 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
Firstly, this is an "Easy Guitar" song book. So you can strum or play mainly single string melodies. Very simple and really don't sound like the originals.
Secondly, even with guitar songs (like Seven Years) the arrangements aren't even close.
I was disappointed.
I never received this product. November 9, 2006 Rachel A. Daugherty 0 out of 6 found this review helpful
I payed for the item never received it, and when I tried to get ahold of amazon I never received a responce. I'm still waiting for this product.
Could Be Better. February 22, 2005 Douglas E. Wong (Riverside, CA) 9 out of 9 found this review helpful
The arrangements included in this book are simplistic. The melody line is written into the piano score and its faith to the original recordings is middling at best (One Flight Down isn't even the same key). "The Nearness Of You" is easily the arrangement that shines the most.
As a warning, if you struggle with rhythm, you may have some initial trouble, as this book is filled non-standard (read: Jazz and not classical) rhythms. Break out your pencil, sub-divide and give it an hour or two and you should be alright.
Good for intermediate players..no higher level arrangements? August 18, 2004 Rachel Alison 8 out of 8 found this review helpful
In rating this songbook itself, not the "Come Away With Me" album, I give it four stars. I recommend this to intermediate players, but I have a feeling this isn't the exact arrangements that Norah Jones plays on her CD and live concerts. If this is the highest level in piano, players with a few years experience can stumble through well enough. Some pieces are harder than others. All in all, it's very enjoyable and fun to play, but is there a more exact copy for experienced players out there?
