This is a great book and song. Our 11 month old squeals with delight when we turn on Fanny & Blue. I totally recommend it for any age child.

This book for kids up to about 6 is the spirited testament to the author's two mutts, Fanny and Blue, mischievous family pets who are well loved. The pictures are lively and funny, the words are cheerful, and the accompanying CD contains Lithgow singing the text in a boisterous tenor. Quite fun for younger kids.

This may be the greatest gift I have given my five year old - she LOVES the CD and will listen to it over and over until we make her shut it off. John Lithgow rocks, he does a GREAT job narrating the story, perfect for little kids! I'm not sure we have actually even read the book all the way through; the CD is really the shining star here. Cute story, I will definatly check out anything else by John Lithgow, this purchase was worth every penny!

The grandchildren and the adults who love them have enjoyed this music so much that the order has been repeated several times so it can be given to dog loving grownups. If you play the music more than once, don't be surprised if you find yourself singing it over and over and over. You've been warned!!
