Rivera Castiñeiras 1 out of 1 found this review helpful Though a well known style, and popular in the USA and several other countries like Canada, Brazil and Argentina (unfortunately not so much here in Europe), there is very little written on this system, this book being one out of three titles published so far in an European language. This is enough to make it a must for all those interested in the Northern Shaolin system of Grandmaster Ku Yu Chang. This apart, Rick L. Wing's book provides lots of very interesting information on the system's history and forms, and, the very best: a detailed, and well photographed explanation of the 5th form of the style: Mo I (Martial Skill); breakdowns of the moves included and ... applications! It is one of the best kung fu books published so far. And I forgot this: Rick L. Wing's technique is brilliant. I own this book and regard it as a treasure in my martial arts library. So I am writing this review to let other kung fu enthusiasts know about this (seemingly) overlooked but most valuable work.
