the hermans: stalking America is a hilarious and revealing peek inside the lives of your average unknown rock and roll band from Anytown, USA on the road to . . . who knows where? Presented in the form of a highly visual journal, follow along as the band first comes together as two members playing open mics, then hires two more players, chooses their band name, finds practice space, writes songs, gets gigs, endures shows with low pay and lame crowds, parties with groupies, gets better shows, and finally, hits the road as a touring band trying to make it--and hopefully take it to another level.
Along the way, they have many highs and lows, including drummer Derk's vicious accident with a table saw; the subsequent fill-in appearance by drummer Mick Shrimpton of Spinal Tap; the entire band being stalked by an unstable rock groupie; the hermans' wily machinations in putting together their first tour; and much more.
No one knows what awaits this band, or any other, at the end of the line. But one thing is certain--the road there is most certainly a wildly entertaining ride.
