Johnny Cash is one of the most interesting figures in American music in the recent past. I got this book fully expecting it to have a lot of information about how Cash's music dealt with the author's "Great American Contradiction" of hedonism vs holiness.
There's not very much about Johnny Cash or his music in this book.
