Product Description The New York Times bestseller-from the author of Math Doesn't Suck-teaches girls how to kick pre-algebra butt
In her New York Times bestselling books, actress and math genius Danica McKellar shatters the "math nerd" stereotype and gives girls the tools to ace middle-school math in her unique, just-us-girls style. Now, in her second book, Kiss My Math, McKellar empowers a new crop of girls-seventh to ninth graders-to tackle the next level of mathematics: pre-algebra.
Stepping up not only the math but the sass and style, McKellar helps math-phobic teenagers chill out and finally "get" negative numbers, variables, absolute values, exponents, and more. As she did so effectively in Math Doesn't Suck, McKellar uses personality quizzes, reader polls, real-life testimonials, and stories from her own life-in addition to clear instruction, helpful tips, and practice problems-revealing why pre-algebra is easier, more relevant, and more glamorous than girls think. McKellar is clearly reaching her audience: parents, teachers, and especially girls are asking for more.

kiss math February 5, 2010 Bonnie L. Baxter (north carolina) This is a second of series; the first was Math Doesn't Suck. They are ok books but are geared more towards a girl's perspective. Would be nice if one was published for boys.

Thanks from my girls January 7, 2010 R. Bednar 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
I bought two books, Kiss My Math and Math Doesn't Suck, for my girls thinking maybe the extra info would help a little and I am pleased to say that I was wrong. The books helped a great deal more than I imagined they would. I consider these books a good buy. My girls said, again, just how much they appreciated the books so I thought I should write a review because this author deserves the kudos!

This book seemed to review/repeat a great deal of "Math Doesn't Suck" but was still interesting. The delivery of the item was quick and in excellent condition, Thanks!
Every girl/young woman should read this book November 14, 2009 Linda W 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
Kiss my Math is great! In fact, I enjoyed it so much, I want to get my niece copies of both books. Just wish it had been around when I was in school. Danica McKellar not only does a great job explaining concepts, she also encourages young women to excell.
