    Editorial Reviews:

    Product Description
David Baldacci's much-loved protagonists Sean King and Michelle Maxwell are having trouble adjusting to life in the wake of the terrible events that drove them to the brink in HOUR GAME. Dogged by hidden demons from her past, then almost killed in a barroom brawl, Michelle agrees to try therapy at a mental-health facility, where she simultaneously busts a criminal drug-dealing ring! Meanwhile, to right their shared career in the private security sector, Sean accepts an offer to investigate a mysterious death at a scientific think tank called Babbage Town, located suspiciously close to the CIA's infamous yet covert training camp--"The Farm". In Babbage Town, the security is tight as the world's scientific geniuses race to invent technologies powerful enough to conquer the most sophisticated microprocessor. Michelle soon joins Sean, and before long both find themselves pawns in a terrifying game whose elusive players cite threats to national security as justification for their most heinous crimes.

3 out of 5 stars Baldacci losing traction   July 4, 2009
    Bota (Murfreesboro, TN. USA)
This book seemed to be a vehicle to faze out of the Camel Club characters and introduce new ones for the First Family. It was not up to Baldacci's usual standard and somewhat lacking in plausibility.

4 out of 5 stars Good Thriller   July 3, 2009
    Mercy Flush (Virginia)
Its a good thriler that sets up two main characters very well. It keeps you on the hook with promising developments both in the characters and the story. The books remains a mystery, giving you angles to think about while you read. The ending is proper and gives you everything about the mystery that you need to know while setting up the main characters for future books, which I am looking forward to.

3 out of 5 stars Short on Storytelling, Long on Facts   May 25, 2009
    Deadguy (Peoria, IL)
Baldacci takes another shot at a giant Federal Agency (CIA), with a few jabs at the FBI, in this novel. Nothing wrong with this, of course, but it leaves a been there done that type of feeling. The font is bigger than the earlier Baldacci novels, so don't be fooled into thinking you're getting nearly as much bang for your buck.

The historical facts are interesting enough, but not enough to carry the whole novel. The whole Sean King and Michelle Maxwell series (JUST GET MARRIED ALREADY) is really getting old. I hope Baldacci explores writing future novels without this duo.

    1 out of 5 stars A Disappointment   May 16, 2009

I have enjoyed David Baldacci for years and always look forward to his latest novel. This book was a great disappointment to me. While it started well, as it progressed I kept thinking that he must have a ghostwriter. It just wasn't his style. The writing became childish and amateurish. The dialogue was ridiculous. I couldn't finish the book. It was a disappointment to me. Where have you gone, David Baldacci?

    1 out of 5 stars OMG it's dreadful   April 29, 2009

I bought the book to get to know the two main characters as I got First Family as a present. I had read Baldacci before, the Camel Club books and quite like it. However I truly didn't like this book.........it drags for ages. The Camel Club I recommend.
