    Product Description
In The 50th Law, hip hop and pop culture icon 50 Cent (aka Curtis Jackson) joins forces with Robert Greene, bestselling author of The 48 Laws of Power, to write a "bible" for success in life and work based on a single principle: fear nothing. With intimate stories from 50 Cent's life on the streets and in the boardroom as he rose to fame after the release of his album Get Rich or Die Tryin', as well as examples of others who have overcome adversity through understanding and practicing the 50th Law, this deeply inspirational book is perfect for entrepreneurs as well as anyone interested in the extraordinary life of Curtis Jackson.

    4 out of 5 stars The 50th Law is a Must-Read for Youth   February 8, 2010
    Emily Dale (Franklin, NC USA)
This is a great little book that shows how one very disadvantaged young man overcame fear and turned his back on a potentially brief life of drug pushing to become a successful rapper and music business entrepreneur.

As an 84 year-old great-grandmother who picked the book at my local public library, I found it inspirational in understanding how to reach youth who do drugs to be "one of the guys". I ordered copies for three grandsons, two of whom have had drug problems and the other, alcohol. In this they can see how they have caved in to fear of not belonging, and how, by becoming fearless, they can achieve success in the world.

    5 out of 5 stars A VERY GREAT COMBINATION   February 8, 2010
    Ayodele Cuffy (Trinidad)
The amazingly, clever and street hustler combining knowledgeable forces with one of the greatest writers of time, to create a book that is nothing less than POWER. Discovering the tactics and strategies developed by 50 cent and see how he applies it to the music industry shows how smart a person must be in this ever changing economic world.

With Robert Greene applying his knowledge to complete the master piece that is the "50th law" I have come to realize that this book expels greatness and power with ever letter, with every word and with every sentence.

This was a great buy, I'm glad it wasn't expensive and the design of the book with really amazing. As the book resembles a Bible with its leather covering and gold edged pages. Right now I'm entering Chapter 8 and simply intrigued with every chapter.

    5 out of 5 stars Excellent   January 30, 2010

This is an excellent book. It was an easy read and VERY hard to put down.

5 out of 5 stars 50 Cent and Robert Greene create a brilliant work   January 30, 2010
    Timothy C. Marinone
Having looked at many historical figures throughout his three books, Greene now looks to a contemporary, 50 Cent and sees a life with many evident concepts. Talking about the life of a hustler, one who rises above his/her circumstances to succeed by thriving on challenges, Greene shows 50 Cent as someone who used his early life on the street to successfully rise to become one of the best selling rap artists. For a fan of 50 Cent, Robert Greene, or anyone who has ever felt like their back was against a wall, this book is an excellent read.

    1 out of 5 stars IRREFUTABLE   January 23, 2010

Had Robert Greene ignored 50 cent and his agents yet realized what a big factor fearlessness is in the game of power this book would be as 100x as good, instead we have this one until he writes again. I feel that Robert Greene in the end has been used, and I feel sorry for him for wasting time on this disastrous book even though it contains very helpful insights. Had there been endless historical anecdotes or if he thought this book out more carefully maybe he could have chosen a more respected rapper or maybe even an unknown rapper that still lives in the hood, this book would be much better. 50 cent isn't all he is cracked up to be, it has shown in the way he handles himself and his feuds with other rappers and also in the lyrics he spits. 50 cent looks like a child the way he argues with Rick Ross(another rapper). I think Robert Greene has been personally influenced by 50 cent and maybe even his music, as he is a very talented musician and can sometimes be intimidating in his songs and in real life just by the size of his shoulders. An intimidating stature and a reputation of being shot 9 times will only linger as long as you hold it down and 50 cent lost the hood respect a long time ago. I do strongly believe that 50 cent is not a true person of power. I believe that 50 cent doesn't even fully understand The 48 Laws of Power or how they are all interrelated. If anyone alive and as well known as 50 cent in the rap game should have been used as an example for this book it should have been Snoop Dogg. Snoop Dogg built his game around respect and has kept it that way(and might I add has been around way longer than 50 cent). He's been on a stage in an auditorium full with a west coast crowd and boasted his thoughts and at any moment could have been shot for showing them contempt with audacity. Time and time again Snoop has shown his audacity. Snoop Dogg is also 10x as witty as 50 cent, he has a much more broad character in my opinion, and is also just as clever, he puts out very good music and knowing a lot of his songs Snoop steals from others (yet he can get away with it). Plus, everyone likes Snoop Dogg, only white people like 50 cent. This sounds stereotypical but I live in the hood and no black folk listens to 50 cent, he's gotten himself into too many petty feuds and sold out a long time ago. I myself do however like 50 cent's music, he is a very talented artist, but in the world of true power I honestly believe 50 cent would be an epic failure, and most likely not even epic. 50 cent just doesn't have a powerful aura in my opinion, I think he is just obsessed with himself like the average bear, he just has that egotistical look in his eye. A lot of people are smart and 50 cent is by no means a dumb man, he has patience and is semi clever but as for Robert Greene to base a book on fearlessness on 50 cent was to me a mistake for Robert Greene, Robert Greene just looks influenced by 50.
Robert Greene you need to sniff out the times 50 cent is like a bad L.L. Cool J, not a 2pac (a truly fearless man)...
So a very brilliant author has now given 50 cent validation because he was hood raised and turned into a business man(and ironically enough, probably out of fear from returning to the hood).

1 star most definitely, I can't believe I'm the first!

Robert Greene please create a better quality book. If you must, keep your books personal. That is however what got you started on The 48 Laws of Power! Very powerful book contents inside a very badly planned and thought out book. F.
