    Product Description

She's the hottest sensation in music today! Christina Aguilera exploded onto the charts with her number one smash-hit single "Genie in a Bottle," and her ride is just beginning! Hailed by critics and fans alike as the voice of her generation, her powerful and soulful singing has been compared to that of megastar divas Mariah Carey, Whitney Houston, and Barbra Streisand.

But did you know that behind this meteoric rise to fame lie years of hard work? Christina's a veteran of the Mickey Mouse Club and she sang the Oscar-nominated song, "Reflection," from the Disney animated film Mulan. With determination, a passion for music, and a total belief in herself, Christina's making all her wishes come true in absolute "genie" style!

But what's this 18-year-old supertalent really like? Who've been her biggest influences? How did she get from the Mickey Mouse Club to heavy rotation on MTV? Can the diva's awesome look be copied by her devotees? And what can eager fans expect next? We've got the total scoop.Read all about the amazing Christina Aguilera right here!

4 out of 5 stars Great Book   July 9, 2000

When i first bought this book, i was thinking "ok this is going to be such a disappointment" But as I read on, i began to learn more about christina. Stuff that i never knew before (and i saw the christina mtv specials too!) The pictures in this book is great, and she even reviewed each song on her album. What i didn't like about the book is the fact it doesn't have more of her personal commentary. It is bascially a fact type book. But the pictures in that book is great! All in color and it even teaches you how to send mail to christina!

    5 out of 5 stars A Very Colorful Book!   June 14, 2000

This is a very good book with lots of info on Christina. In my opinion, the best part about this book is the pictures of Miss Aguilera. From past to present, this book makes Christina look sensational!

4 out of 5 stars A Great Book For The Fan To Get To Know Christina With.   May 17, 2000

Unlike all those teen magazines which make teen stars seem infallable and utterly perfect, this book does not do that. What you get is a narrative about a human being (a darn good-looking one if I do say so) like you. OK it does get a little bit out of line (that is why it got 4 stars) but it still is relatable, and that is what I like. Teens need role models to look up to and young stars like Christina, Britney or the Backstreet Boys do fill that need to some extent. If only the media would not blow them out of proportion. I give props to this book for NOT doing that.

I read Jackie Robb's Britney book and I just had to read what she said about Christina! Even though Britney is better, we still like Christina and this book tells all! I think everybody should read about Christina and want to be like her!
